Jaguars Sign Four Players

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed four players to contracts today. The four include: offensive lineman Tutan Reyes, tight end Richard Angulo, quarterback Todd Bouman and tight end Charles Davis. Reyes and Angulo both ended the 2007 season on the Jaguars roster.

Reyes, who has played in 38 career games with 34 starts, was originally signed by the Jaguars on August 20 and waived on September 3. Reyes was re-signed on November 6 after a season-ending injury to Chris Naeole. He saw action at right guard in the second half in the regular season finale on December 30 at Houston. He was drafted by New Orleans in the fifth round of the 2000 draft and has spent time with the Saints, Buffalo and Carolina.

Angulo, who is entering his fifth NFL season, played in five games for the Jaguars in 2007 and finished with a career-high eight receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. Angulo scored his first career touchdown on December 23 vs. Oakland. He saw action in both postseason games including a start at TE at Pittsburgh in the AFC Wild Card Game on Jan. 5. He spent training camp with the Jaguars and was re-signed on November 26 following season-ending injuries to George Wrighster and Greg Estandia.

Bouman was signed by the Jaguars on October 25 to serve as a backup while David Garrard was sidelined with an ankle injury. Bouman did not play in four games before being released on November 20. He has started six of 42 games with Minnesota, New Orleans and Green Bay.

Davis, 6-6, 260, spent the final month of the 2007 season on the Jaguars practice squad. He was originally a fifth-round pick of Pittsburgh in the 2006 draft after starting four seasons at Purdue. He has spent time on the practice squad for Pittsburgh, New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.
