The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed unrestricted free-agent wide receivers Randy Hymes and Troy Edwards to contracts and waived rookie free-agent tight end Brandon Twito.

Hymes, 26, spent all five of his NFL seasons in Baltimore after the Ravens originally signed him as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 26, 2002, out of Grambling. The 6-3, 211-pound Hymes played in all 16 games last season and started three contests. He recorded 11 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns. In 37 career games, Hymes made 43 receptions for 578 yards and four touchdowns. He will wear jersey No. 14.

Edwards, 29, re-signed with the Jaguars after playing in Jacksonville for two seasons from 2003-04. The 5-10, 185-pound wide-out played in three games in 2005 with the Detroit Lions and caught two passes for 15 yards. In 92 career games, he has 203 receptions for 2,404 yards and 11 touchdowns. He will wear jersey No. 16.

The Jaguars now have 84 players under contract on their roster.
