Jalen Ramsey - Thursday, September 21, 2018

(On what makes D.J. Hayden so great at blitzing) "Yes, not just blitzing, but his all-around game – his covering skills and everything he does for the defense. He has filled that role very well."

(On if D.J. Hayden has been more impressive than he thought Hayden would be) "He is who I thought he would be. I knew he was good. I knew he would do good. I always had the confidence in him."

(On it is impressive how smoothly Ronnie Harrison has slid into his role and what he has brought to the defense) "I think it is. I think we welcome him into the secondary. Ronnie is a baller, so it has been a good match for us."

(On if Harrison being so good is what makes it easy to fit in) "Yes."

(On what Corey Davis does well) "He does a few things well for their team. They think highly of him over there. It is what it is."

(On how he has seen Keelan Cole's confidence rise from last year to now) "It's definitely went up a little bit. That comes from being in the game, getting more experience in games and making spectacular catches like he did this past week and having good games like he has been having."

(On who on the defense he feels doesn't get enough credit) "Everybody besides myself. I am kind of talked about all the time. It is getting old a little bit, but it is what it is. I know there are positives and negatives that come with it. I feel like not enough talk is of T-Gip [Tashaun Gipson], [Barry] Church, Myles Jack, Telvin [Smith Sr.], the whole defensive line. Yes, they are talked about sometimes – 'Sacksonville' – but they really do their thing. They are more than just sacks. The linebackers [are] two of the best linebackers in the game. Of course, me and A.J. are the best damn duo in the world. T-Gip and Church, they always are doing what they have to do. Look at what they did not just this past week, but what they have done all last year and these first two games. Everyone really complements each other well. We have a pretty stacked defense, a defense that I'm very confident in."

(On if the Titans game is more physical than most other games on the team's schedule) "Probably. It is probably realistic. They are a very physical team, but we are, too. They had our number last year for sure, but we don't try to live in the past. We are not going to continue to talk about that. That is not something we are using as motivation, I would say. We are pretty self-motivated. We motivate each other internally. This is a game we do feel like we have to go out there and be physical, take it to them and do whatever we have to do to win this game."

(On the challenges in preparing for two different quarterbacks) "Yeah, it's definitely a challenge. You can't focus or lock in on one specific guy. They are a little bit different, but they have a lot of similarities in their games as well. Both are capable of going in and making some plays for the team. At the end of the day – and I kind of say this every single week – it's not really about what anyone else does to us. It is about what we do as 11 out there on defense and special teams and offense."

(On if last Sunday was the most fun he has had watching Blake play) "I don't know if that is the most fun. There have been other moments like that."

(On the impressiveness of this defense given the rule changes the league has made) "You are trying to get me to talk bad about the NFL. You all see what he is trying to do. I'm not going to do it (laughs). It is tough. I feel the offenses are favorited a little bit, but we get paid to go out there and play good defense. I feel like that is what we are doing right now. Since I feel like it is an offensive league that just makes it even more important that all 11 guys are on the same page. We are doing that well right now, but we have to keep it up. We can't just do it for two games or anything like that. We are trying to be great. We are trying to be elite. We need to continue what we are doing."

(On Titans RB Derrick Henry) "Everyone has the same opinion of the type of running back he is. A down-hill runner. Big back. Bigger than most linebackers and whoever else, maybe even some [defensive] ends. It has to be a physical game. We have to do what we have to do to stop their offense and get the win."

(On if he cringes when Blake Bortles tries to run someone over) "No, I love that. I love that."

(On telling Bortles to get down) "He has to be smart, but if he is feeling it now, go ahead and do your thing. We are going to be behind you 100 percent. I love that. Let's put it that way."

(On if opposing teams will stop taking verbal shots at Bortles) "Maybe, maybe not. I don't care. I don't think it really matters."

(On if he prefers to not have the ball thrown his way at all because teams are wary, or if he is tested and lets up a few receptions, but intercepts a pass) "Do we win? If both are wins, then of course I want to make a play (laughs). If we are winning, of course I want to make a play. If before the season started and God spoke to me and said, 'Jalen, you won't have one [interception] this year, but you will win every single game.' I am going to make that deal with God. We on. I would rather win, but if God is telling me we are going to win and I can make plays. Let me get that deal."
