JACKSONVILLE - Today, the National Football League, in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and presenting sponsor Procter & Gamble, announced that Jaguars' nominee Edward "Eddie" Jordan IV was selected as one of the eight finalists for the 2025 Latino Youth Honors. Jordan, a Cuban American student-athlete at Beachside High School (St. Johns, Fla.), will represent the Jaguars and AFC South at the NFL Honors during Super LX Week in San Francisco.

In its third year, NFL Latino Youth Honors recognizes outstanding Latino and Hispanic high school tackle and flag football athletes from around the country for their academic and athletic excellence. All 32 NFL teams are invited to nominate one male and one female high school senior football player to represent their team to be considered for this honor.

Jordan exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding student-athlete through his leadership, academic dedication, and service to others. As Beachside High School's quarterback, he leads with confidence and integrity, raising the performance and morale of his teammates. During his senior season, Jordan has thrown 22 passing touchdowns with 2,236 passing yards and successfully executed four rushing touchdowns.

Off the field, he is deeply committed to mentoring younger athletes at incoming freshman practices, youth clinics and summer camps. Academically, Jordan maintains a 3.94 unweighted GPA while balancing the demands of athletics and leadership.

"Eddie defines distinction both on the field and in the classroom and the Jaguars are proud of the League's recognition of him as a NFL Latino Youth Honors finalist," said Adriel Rocha, Jaguars vice president of community impact and football development. "He is a model of discipline, respect and perseverance to his peers, in academics and in everything he does."

As a finalist, Jordan will receive two tickets to attend Super Bowl LX and a grant award that can be used for college, of at least $5,000; male and female overall winners will receive a $25,000 grant each. He will also join the seven other finalists in special events taking place during Super Bowl LX Week. Activities will be designed to provide mentorship, guidance, and resources to pursue careers in the sports industry. During that week, the male and female national winner will be announced at the NFL Honors.

This is the third consecutive year for the Jaguars to have nominated a finalist in the NFL Latino Youth Honors.
