JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed OL Tremayne Anchrum and DL Austin Johnson, the team announced today. Additionally, the team has waived WR J.J. Jones.
Anchrum was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round (250th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 31 regular-season games (one start at right guard) over four seasons with the Rams (2020-23) and spent time on the Texans' practice squad in 2024. Anchrum has also appeared in two postseason contests.
Anchrum is a native of Powder Springs, Ga., and played 2,516 snaps over 55 games (37 starts) at Clemson from 2016-19. After taking over as the Tigers' starting right tackle from 2018-19, the team compiled a 29-1 record, and he earned two All-ACC selections.
Johnson was drafted by Tennessee in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. His career totals include 259 tackles (131 solo), 18 quarterback hits, 17 tackles for loss, 12 passes defensed, 8.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 131 games (56 starts) with the Titans (2016-19), Giants (2020-21), Chargers (2022-23) and Bills (2024). Johnson has also appeared in eight postseason contests (one start) and registered six tackles, two tackles for loss and one pass defensed. In 2024, he played in 15 regular-season games (one start) for Buffalo and produced 19 tackles (seven solo), two passes defensed, two interceptions, one quarterback hit and a half-sack.
The Galloway, N.J., native started 28-of-38 career games at Penn State (2013-15) and amassed 154 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, eight passes defensed, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
