The Jaguars on Sunday beat the Indianapolis Colts, 36-19, at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville – a victory that moved them into sole possession of first place in the AFC South and maintained their position in the AFC standings.
The Jaguars (9-4), who have won their last four games and five of their last six, are now a game ahead of the Colts (8-5) and Houston Texans (8-5) in the division. They remain seeded No. 3 in the AFC.

The Jaguars and Texans split their games this season, with the Jaguars winning 17-10 in Jacksonville in Week 3 and the Texans winning 36-29 in Houston in Week 10. The Texans play host to the Colts in Week 18.

Outlook: The Jaguars with Sunday's victory not only moved a game ahead in the AFC South standings, they enhanced their position as the No. 3 seed in the AFC. They are now three games ahead of perennial contenders such as the Chiefs and Ravens. They have tiebreaker advantages over the Chiefs and Chargers because of head-to-head victories over those teams, meaning they would win the tiebreaker in a two-way tie with those teams.
