JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars' 2027 game-day home will be a home away from home.
That means chances to succeed, and it means challenges.
Jaguars officials, including Owner Shad Khan, addressed both Wednesday during a press availability to discuss NFL Owners on Tuesday unanimously approving Orlando's Camping World Stadium as the Jaguars' temporary home for the 2027 season because of renovations to the Stadium of the Future in downtown Jacksonville.
"It's great and there's a lot more to do; it's a great day," Khan said Wednesday during a press availability at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, with Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tony Boselli adding, "We look at it as an opportunity,"
Jaguars President Mark Lamping also was among the officials speaking Wednesday.

Here are key takeaways from that availability:
- Planning has begun. Playing home games away from home will be a logistical challenge on multiple levels – including team travel to and from games. Boselli on Wednesday said work toward meeting that challenge has begun – but won't overshadow preparing for the 2026 season. "We've already started," Boselli said. "The emphasis obviously once we get closer to '26 will be on '26, but the ground floor can be laid, the foundation will be laid. We'll start working with partners and how we're going to operate – timing and everything else – so that when the season's over, we then can have the whole building, including our coaching staff, really involved in the details of how we're going to operate. The last thing we want to do right now is have any of our coaches worrying about '27. We have enough to worry about with '26 right now."
- Massive market. Lamping on Wednesday addressed the opportunity for the Jaguars to play home games for a season in the nation's 14th-largest television market. "The reality is the state of Florida's population is massive and the NFL is an extremely popular sport in the state of Florida," Lamping said. "We believe that there's an excess of 200,000 Jaguar fans who currently live in Central Florida. You can't define a fan simply by those that go to the games, but in this particular case, I think we'll be able to deliver a much, much closer connection between our fans in Central Florida and the Jaguars. To the degree people fall in love with [quarterback] Trevor Lawrence – or if we have great success down here – they could end up continuing to be Jaguar fans. But keep in mind: This is necessary because of a commitment that Shad made to Jacksonville. If it wasn't for that long-term commitment to Jacksonville by Shad and the city of Jacksonville, we wouldn't be here."
- Orlando will very much be a home game. Boselli said Orlando games in '27 will be "viewed like a home game with a long commute to the office," adding, "No. 1, we think a lot of our fans will come down from Jacksonville. We think we have a ton of fans in Orlando. We also know that there's a ton of NFL fans here. Combine that with an amount of visiting teams that are going to want to come to Orlando to watch their team play, it's a great opportunity." Boselli said the Jaguars currently are working through many logistics associated with playing in Orlando. "We have sponsors, we have our fans, we have our players' families that we're going to have to think about," Boselli said. "A lot of them have small kids, so it's a whole organization effort to put the details together. We're at the very beginning stages. We'll spend a lot of time in this offseason working on that so that we can focus on '26 once the '26 season gets here."
- Wherever, whenever. The Jaguars are currently scheduled to play eight domestic regular-season home games in 2027, with one home game committed to London in the NFL's International Series. Scheduled Jaguars "home" opponents for '27: Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, an AFC West opponent and an NFC West opponent. "At the end of the day, you build a football team, you engineer a football team that can play anywhere," Boselli said. "We believe that. We believe that we have the right head coach (Liam Coen) and the right general manager (James Gladstone) to engineer a team that can play anywhere. We love our home stadium and playing in Jacksonville, but we play in London, we go on the road. I'm pretty sure we did OK on the West Coast (4-0 in such games last season). We'll come to Orlando when it's time and we'll be ready to play down here."
- Ticket information. Lamping on Orlando tickets: "Jacksonville season-ticket holders will get the first opportunity to buy tickets. Then from that point, we will continue a public sale. In short order, we will be announcing a way for individuals to register interest in tickets. A lot of that's probably going to come here from Central Florida, not necessarily from Jacksonville, and we'll go from there. It's great to hear the optimism from everybody down here [in Orlando]. I know Shad is confident. We want to have an awesome year that year. We want the stadium to be full. We want the broadcast to be high-quality. We want the fan experience to be top-notch. We want the performance on the field to be great. I think we're all collectively even more confident in Orlando than we may have been a month ago."
