Mock Draft Tracker 2.0: Unanimous at No. 1, a favorite at No. 25

Moc Draft Tracker Cover 2.0

JACKSONVILLE – No. 1 remains unanimous.

That's no surprise and it appears likely Trevor Lawrence to the Jaguars at No. 1 overall will dominate all mock drafts until/unless something changes dramatically.

Lawrence, a quarterback from Clemson University, indeed remained the unanimous choice at No. 1 overall in the 2021 Draft among analysts featured in this week's jaguars.com mock draft tracker – the second such tracker we have compiled this offseason.

We'll get to the Jaguars' second Round 1 selection in a few paragraphs, but let's first examine what analysts are saying about Lawrence at No. 1:

*Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports: "Urban Meyer is now the Jags new head coach and it's only a matter of time before Trevor Lawrence joins him in Jacksonville."

*Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Media: "The Urban Meyer era begins with one of the most talented quarterbacks to enter the league in the last five years…"

*Seth Galina of Pro Football Focus: "From a physical tools perspective, Lawrence really is one of the best quarterbacks we've seen at the position for a while."

As was the case in mock draft tracker 1.0, opinions varied in the second version about the Jaguars' selection at No. 25 overall. But there was a bit more of a consensus there in this version, with five analysts projecting Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney there.

"After coaching the likes of Percy Harvin and Curtis Samuel at the collegiate ranks, I could totally see new Jaguars Head Coach Urban] Meyer being smitten with offensive weapon Toney in Round 1,” Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports [wrote.

Also projected to the Jaguars at No. 25 were Michigan offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield, Texas Christian safety Trevon Moehrig and Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore.

"Moehrig is the best safety in the draft class and has the ability to play the deep middle or inside the box; he has a high ceiling and a high floor," Jeremiah wrote, with Wilson adding: "Barmore was our DT1 coming into the season, took a while to get going, and then saved his best football for the final month of the season.

Wrote Jordan Reid of the Draft Network: "One of the more important decisions of the offseason for the Jaguars is the long-term future of left tackle Cam Robinson. If the team elects to go in a different direction, Mayfield is a prospect that could protect the future (Lawrence)."
