Official: Smith signs rookie contract

JACKSONVILLE – The draft class signings continue.

Jordan Smith, a defensive end selected by the Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, signed his rookie contract Tuesday afternoon. He became the second of the Jaguars' 2021 draft selections to sign with the team.

Smith, who played at Alabama-Birmingham, was the No. 121 overall selection.

Smith (6-feet-6, 255 pounds) who began his college career at the University of Florida, had 89 tackles in two seasons for UAB. He had 23.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks, one interception and three forced fumbles during those two seasons and declared for the draft after his redshirt junior season.

The Jaguars currently have seven '21 draft selections unsigned: Quarterback Trevor Lawrence (Round 1, No. 1 overall, Clemson), running back Travis Etienne (Round 1, No. 25, Clemson), cornerback Tyson Campbell (Round 2, No. 33 overall, Georgia), offensive tackle Walker Little (Round 2, No. 45 overall, Stanford), safety Andre Cisco (Round 3, No. 65 overall), defensive tackle Jay Tufele (Round 4, No. 106 overall, Southern California) and tight end Luke Farrell (Round 5, No. 145 overall, Ohio State).

The Jaguars signed wide receiver Jalen Camp (Round 6, No. 209, Georgia Tech) on Monday.
