WATFORD, United Kingdom – The Jaguars practiced at The Grove Friday.

The AFC South-leading Jaguars (4-1) will play the Houston Texans (1-4) in a key early-season AFC South game at Wembley Stadium in London Sunday. Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen spoke to the media before practice Friday.

Here's a look at Friday around the Jaguars:

Jaguars safety Eric Murray is expected to play Sunday, with cornerback Montaric Brown and long snapper Ross Matiscik ruled out.

Watford, U.K. — Jaguars safety Eric Murray (29) during practice at The Grove on October 15, 2026.

Murray, who missed a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Sunday with a concussion sustained the week before in a victory at Cincinnati, was listed without game status on Friday's third and final injury report of the week. Listed without status means a player is expected to be available to play.

Brown and Matiscik were listed as out Friday after not practicing during the week. Brown played through a hamstring injury against the Eagles after missing the Bengals game and Matiscik sustained a shoulder injury in the first quarter against the Eagles. The Jaguars signed long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer Tuesday.

Also listed without status on the Jaguars' Friday's injury report: Tight end Nate Boerkircher (back), right tackle Cole Van Lanen (knee), rookie guard Emmanuel Pregnon (toe), cornerback Jarrian Jones (elbow), cornerback Jourdan Lewis (hamstring) and cornerback Jaylon Jones (hamstring). …

  • A historic positive to the Jaguars' annual trip to London has been camaraderie and chemistry among players, with Coen saying he has seen that element this week at the Grove.

"We're obviously together a lot more," Coen said. "After a normal workday, the players go home to their families and are away from each other. [Thursday] night, it was cool walking through the dining room there together and seeing players playing cards, hanging out, watching stuff together.

"We have just spent more time together organically this week, which I don't think is a bad thing."

The Jaguars last season lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 35-7, in London in Week 7, then won nine of their last 10 games – including their last eight – to win the AFC South. …

  • The Jaguars, who enter Sunday ranked second in points allowed and first in rushing defense this season, are ranked 12th in the NFL with 11 sacks and ninth with 53 pressures.

Defensive end Travon Walker leads the Jaguars with two sacks through five games, with defensive end Josh Hines-Allen next with 1.5 sacks. Hines-Allen has seven quarterback hits and Walker has six.

"When you talk about affecting the quarterback, it comes in different ways," Coen said. "Those guys have done a nice job of being able to create when we've needed it. Is it leading in sacks every single time we get a four-man rush? I can't say that, but I can say that they're affecting the quarterback a ton.

"We're going to need it this week. We can't let [Texans quarterback] C.J. [Stroud] stand back there and hang out and be able to pick us apart and get those guys on the perimeter of the ball too quickly.

"It's a great challenge for us this week, and those guys know what they're up for." …

  • The Jaguars enter Sunday having committed 26 accepted penalties for 225 yards, with penalties nullifying three Jaguars touchdowns during that span – two touchdown runs by running back Bhayshul Tuten against Cincinnati and an opening-kickoff return for a touchdown by rookie wide receiver Josh Cameron against the Eagles.

"Anytime you're self-inflicted, it's challenging on us as coaches trying to make sure we provide clarity throughout the week on the game plan," Coen said. "You don't want to trim too much because we started the season off pretty good. So, it is what it is.

"We have to get our hands inside more and we have to be better about it, but ultimately you can call the hold on every play." …

  • Coen on playing at Wembley Stadium Sunday: "I expect a great crowd. It was rocking on Sunday, obviously, at Tottenham, and Wembley's such a historic place to play, and what a great opportunity for us playing a division rival." …
