During the 2023 Pro Bowl weekend, local athletes from northeast Florida will be representing the Jaguars franchise at NFL FLAG Championships. The 17U Duval Divas girls flag team and 10U JaxPAL coed flag team hit the road to Vegas to compete on the world stage against some of the best flag athletes in the country.

To get them ready for competition, the Jaguars hosted both teams at TIAA Bank Field to run a clinic and provided each athlete with Jaguars gear and swag ahead of their departure.

"It feels amazing to have this awesome opportunity to provide to our team and for many of them this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said JaxPAL Coach Chris Perry. "To see their smiles and faces light up from the gear the Jaguars provided, I am extremely excited for them, and this opportunity to have them compete in the most prestigious flag football tournament for youth."

Duval Divas Coach Mike Brown, who is leading the first girls flag football team to NFL FLAG Championships, commented, "I am most excited for our girls to compete and represent Duval and girls flag football on one of the largest stages. We have a very skilled team that has belief in themselves and each other."

Both flag teams competed and won their divisions at the NFL FLAG Tampa Bay Buccaneers Regional Tournament in December of 2022 punching their ticket to Vegas.
