Jaguars PREP Flag Football Teams Compete at 2025 NFL Flag Championships in Canton, Ohio

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Last week, 11 teams represented the Jaguars in their respective divisions at the 2025 NFL FLAG Championships in Canton, Ohio, from Thursday, July 17-Sunday, July 20. Jaguars Elite 14u boys left the birthplace of football as champions following a series of exciting, nationally televised games.

The road to Canton started in early April at the Jaguars NFL FLAG Regional where a field of nearly 70 teams was narrowed down to 11 division winners, earning a spot to compete in the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the NFL FLAG Championships.

After months of preparation and football development, the Jaguars celebrated these teams ahead of their journey with a sendoff at the Miller Electric Center. Nearly 100 boys and girls gathered at the Jaguars home where they toured the team's weight room, locker room and indoor practice facility, received Jaguars apparel, watched a video of well wishes from Jaguars players and enjoyed a meal together.

After arriving in Canton, the Jaguars teams got off to a hot start going 10-2 on Thursday to open the competition on a high note. The success continued Friday as teams representing the Jaguars posted a 14-4 mark, including 12 consecutive wins to begin the day. Overall, Jaguars teams went 40-17 at the NFL FLAG Championships making it a highly successful trip to Canton. The four Jaguars Elite teams in attendance went a combined 17-4, including a 7-0 championship run by the 14u boys.

"The Jaguars and Jaguars PREP were happy to support 11 teams at the NFL FLAG Championships," said Adriel Rocha, Jaguars vice president of community impact and football development. "Flag football is growing exponentially here in Northeast Florida and all over the world. We believe helping provide these opportunities and unforgettable experiences like traveling to Canton to compete at the national level allows for athletes of all ages to develop on and off the field."

The Jaguars Elite 14u boys had a dominant run that culminated in a 13-0 shutout victory in the championship game over Showtime (Falcons) and saw decisive victories along the way, including a 41-12 win in the semifinals vs. RFP (Bills). The team outscored its seven opponents 187-69 in the NFL FLAG Championships and their 41 points in the semifinal broke the scoring record for the 14u division. Defense proved to be key in the Championship game as Jaguars Elite blanked Showtime and held them to just one third-down conversion on six attempts.

"The City of Jacksonville and the Jaguars could not be prouder of the 14u boys Jaguars Elite for bringing home the NFL FLAG Championship," said Rocha. "This team returned to Canton this year with one goal and that was to win. Every player put their all into getting better leading up to the tournament. That really showed on the field with their undefeated record, big plays and impressive teamwork which was evident to anyone who watched."

The Jaguars teams' success came in part thanks to **Jaguars PREP**, an initiative of the Jaguars Foundation that is committed to growing the game of football throughout Northeast Florida by removing barriers of accessibility, encouraging health and safety, building strong character amongst participants and enhancing opportunities and resources for youth and high school football athletes.
