Calais Campbell - Sunday, September 23, 2018

(On if he was surprised by how the game played out) "Yeah, you know, you're going to have some games like this, though. You play this long enough, things didn't really go our way, ball didn't really bounce our way. We make a big play, it gets called back. Time and time again, things did not go our way today. I'm confident this team will respond. Losses suck, they always have, they always will. This one stings a little bit because it's a division game at home. At the end of the day, it's just one loss, and how we respond is really what it comes down to. I'm very confident this team will respond."

(On why he was able to be effective today) "I don't know. You all have got to watch the tape. One thing I know about this team is them boys was hunting. They scored nine points and we gave them some opportunities, but at the end of the day, I know my boys was hunting. It's hard to make plays in this game, as far as actual statistics, but I know my boys was going hard, they were in the gap doing what they had to do. It just wasn't good enough today."

(On the penalty to Malik Jackson) "Yeah, those are momentum killers, you know. At the end of the day, it's the rules of the game and we've got to make do. Whatever happens, they call them, we've got to line up and handle any circumstance. I thought we responded well, but not good enough."

(On if he expected this game to be a slugfest) "It's a division game, of course. Everybody knows when it's a division game, especially against a good opponent, it's going to be a battle. Obviously, you'd love for it to go your way, but it was going to be a slugfest. I had no doubt in my mind it was going to be a slugfest."
