Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard will be at the Jacksonville Boat Show to greet Jaguars fans, sign autographs and promote his foundation's inaugural celebrity fishing tournament, Garrard's Gamefish & Gridiron. He will be at the Jacksonville Offshore Sports Fishing Club's booth from 11:30 a.m. to noon and at the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament booth from noon until 12:30 p.m.
The foundation's charity fishing tournament will take place on Saturday, May 15 at the Conch House Marina in St. Augustine. It is an offshore/inshore tournament in which NFL players will fish with local boaters and sponsors. The Top Angler will receive a pair of Club Seats for the 2010 season. The top Lady Angler will receive a piece of designer jewelry, compliments of Underwood's Jewelers. The Top Junior Angler will receive a private party with David Garrard and the winner's invited guests.
Immediately following the tournament, there will be a special VIP party featuring live music from Freudian Slip, great food and drink, an amazing auction including a trip to New York City and the Hamptons and a Super Bowl package, dancing and celebrity signings.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the David Garrard Foundation, a 501c(3) organization that supports families battling breast cancer and Crohn's and promotes healthy, active lifestyles for today's youth.
