Jaguar for a Day

JACKSONVILLE – EverBank, Community PedsCare and the Jaguars partnered to create a memory of a lifetime for the Thompson family.  Daniel, age 15, was a "Jaguar for a Day" and was a part of the team's last minicamp practice on June 13, 2013.

A huge fan of the Jaguars, Daniel lives with spina bifida and Chiari malformation. He was admitted to the Community PedsCare program in 2012.

Last week, Daniel was awarded a team jersey and then spent time on the field with his parents, brother and sister.  After a visit to the Jaguars' new locker room, Daniel headed off to attend practice.  At the minicamp, Daniel discussed the game plan with Jaguars general manager David Caldwell, head coach Gus Bradley and the entire Jaguars team, and then watched the team run through their practice.

"EverBank and Community PedsCare have enjoyed a great partnership over the past few years," said Curt Cunkle, EverBank's president of North Florida banking.  "Daniel is such an inspiration to us and we are honored to be a part of his special day with the team."

When asked about being a Jaguar for a Day, Daniel smiled wide and said, "I am speechless."
