Jaguars Make Roster Moves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted third-year CB Sidney Jones IV from the team's practice squad and placed fifth-year S Jarrod Wilson (hamstring) on the reserve/injured list, the club announced today. The Jaguars also signed rookie CB Josh Nurseand first-year RB Craig Reynoldsto the practice squad and released rookie CB Amari Hendersonfrom the practice squad. 

Jones, 6-0, 181, is in his fourth season in the NFL after originally being drafted by Philadelphia in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Jones appeared in 22 games for the Eagles over the last three seasons (2017-19), totaling 48 tackles, 10 passes defensed and two INTs. Jones played collegiately at Washington and appeared in 40 games, posting 145 tackles, 21 passes defensed, eight INTs (one returned for TD), six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries (one returned for TD). Jones will wear No. 35. 

Nurse, 6-3, 200, originally signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in April. He played collegiately at Utah, appearing in 40 games after first joining the Utes as a walk-on. Prior to playing at Utah, Nurse also attended Blinn College in 2016 and Georgia Military College in 2015. 

Reynolds, 5-11, 225, originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Football Team in 2019 and spent time on their practice squad and active roster. He later signed with the Falcons and spent time on their practice prior to being waived on Sept. 5, 2020. He played college football at Kuztown.  

In 2020, NFL clubs will be permitted to return an unlimited number of players from either the club's Reserve/Injured List or from its Reserve/Non-Football Injury/Illness List to the club's 53-player Active/Inactive List. Such players must have suffered a football-related injury after reporting to training camp and passing the club's physical and must have been placed on the reserve list following 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 5. To be eligible for return, a player cannot begin to practice until three weeks have elapsed since the date he was placed on a reserve list, and the player cannot return to the Active/Inactive List until three games have elapsed since the date he was placed on Reserve/Injured.
