Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been nominated for Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. Fan voting began today at noon and continues through Thursday at 5 p.m. at NFL.com. This is Jones-Drew's fifth nomination for Rookie of the Week honors.

Jones-Drew carried 19 times for 131 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 41 yards in the Jaguars' 24-21 loss to the New England Patriots. Jones-Drew scored on touchdown runs of one and 74 yards. The 74-yarder was a career long and the third-longest run in team history. He has now had at least one rushing touchdown in a team-record seven consecutive games, which tied former Baltimore Colt Curtis Dickey (1980) for the NFL rookie record. Jones-Drew also set the team record with 2,046 all-purpose yards, surpassing Fred Taylor's 1,942 in 2003.
