JACKSONVILLE – The 2026 League Year is at hand.
It began Wednesday at 4 p.m., with the Jaguars shortly thereafter agreeing to terms to sign former Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. as an unrestricted free agent.
Here's a look at the Jaguars' free-agent moves so far during the 2026 offseason:
Jaguars 2026 free-agent acquisitions
Chris Rodriguez Jr., running back
Former team: Washington Commanders. Experience: Fifth NFL season.
About Rodriguez: A sixth-round selection by the Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft, he rushed for 500 yards and six touchdowns on 112 carries in 2025 while playing 13 games and starting seven. He played in 35 games in three seasons with Washington, starting seven and rushing for 920 yards and 10 touchdowns on 198 carries. He played collegiately at Kentucky from 2018-2022, with Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen serving as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach there in 2021.
