Lynch to be placed on reserve/retired list

RosterTransaction

JACKSONVILLE – Another Jaguars defensive lineman is stepping away from football.

Aaron Lynch, a defensive end/linebacker who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent from the Chicago Bears this past offseason, is expected to be placed on the team's reserve/retired list Tuesday.

Lynch, a fifth-round selection by San Francisco in the 2014 NFL Draft, played four seasons with the 49ers and the past two with Chicago. He registered 20 sacks in six NFL seasons.

Defensive lineman Rodney Gunter, who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent from Arizona this past offseason, stepped away from football Monday because of an enlarged aorta.
