JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars got aggressive early Saturday. Really aggressive.
They stayed on the edge, too – addressing depth and pass-rushing ability with their first selection on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Wesley Williams, an edge from Duke University, on Saturday was selected by the Jaguars No. 119 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft – the 19th selection of Round 4. The Jaguars traded up to make the selection, sending the Nos. 124 and 166 selections to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Nos. 119 and 196 in the '26 draft.
Williams (6-feet-4, 256 pounds) played 2022-2025 at Duke and registered 11 career sacks with 29 tackles for loss. He had 7.5 sacks in 2024.
Williams became the first player from Duke selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft.
The Jaguars have six selections remaining in the '26 draft: No. 164 overall (Round 5), No. 196 overall (Round 6), No. 203 overall (Round 6), No. 233 overall (Round 7), No. 240 overall (Round 7), No. 245 overall (Round 7).
The Jaguars earlier in the draft selected Texas A&M tight end Nate Boerkircher (No. 56 overall, Round 2), Texas A&M defensive tackle Albert Regis (No. 81 overall, Round 3), Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnon (No. 88 overall, Round 3) and Maryland safety Jalen Huskey (No. 100 overall, Round 4).
The Jaguars did not have a selection in Thursday's Round 1, having traded the selection to move up and select wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter No. 2 overall (Round 1) in the 2025 NFL Draft.
