JACKSONVILLE – Let's get to it …

Took care of business! T Law pulled out after surpassing 4,000 passing yards. What is the mindset going forward? What's different about the playoffs?
The Jaguars absolutely "took care of business" Sunday, clinching a third AFC South title in nine seasons with a convincing 41-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. The victory was fitting because the Jaguars spent the final two months of the 2025 regular season "taking care of business," winning eight consecutive games while passing the Indianapolis Colts in the standings and holding off the second-place Houston Texans (12-5) – the latter of whom finished the season equally hot on a nine-game winning streak. This division title was earned with pressure victory after pressure victory. Sunday's victory also was fitting because Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence remained perhaps the NFL's hottest quarterback, not only surpassing 4,000 yards passing for a third time in five NFL seasons but passing for three touchdowns with no interceptions. He finished the season with a franchise record 38 touchdowns – 29 passing and nine rushing – and threw 20 touchdowns with five interceptions during the eight-game season-ending winning streak. The Jaguars' mindset going forward: Forget the regular season and focus on the next task at hand? What's different about the postseason? The pressure is higher and so are the stakes. The game is faster. Every play is magnified in a big way. This is the fun stuff. It's also the highest-intensity stuff. Here we go.

At halftime, the score wasn't close. I wondered if it was necessary to attempt to kick a field goal from a long distance. Eventually, a kicker's leg or back will get worn out. If the team isn't scoring well, it is a bonus to have a kicker's leg with this talent, but an accurate kicker is vital for the long haul. Because he is a record breaker other teams won't have this particular issue. It is an amazing feat and I am thrilled for his success. I don't know if anyone else had a similar question. Especially, this time of year when players are getting worn down. The final score wasn't close.
Jaguars kicker Cam Little kicked a 67-yard field goal at the end of the first half Sunday. He routinely kicks from more than 60 yards in practice and while warming up. The Jaguars have many concerns as the postseason approaches. I don't sense any concerns about Little's leg wearing down. I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which Head Coach Liam Coen tells Little, "I'm not going to let you kick from 67 yards because your leg might get tired." Little's not the biggest guy on the team, but hands might get thrown.

KOAF: For the love of God, can you please tell the coaches to play Nick Mullens more often? I have noticed that whenever he takes over for Trevor the Jaguars always win.
Nicholas' got jokes.

Do you think the field conditions will be improved for the home playoff game next week? It seemed like an awful lot more players were slipping than would be ideal. Is there anything they can do?
The turf at EverBank Stadium from this view appeared in remarkably good shape Sunday, particularly for a Week 18 game on natural grass shortly after a collegiate bowl game. There were a few slips around midfield where the logo was replaced after the Gator Bowl. That's sort of unavoidable and certainly work will continue before next weekend.

So, is the rest of the league noticing the Jags yet, O-man? I guess if this team doesn't get its respect, it will just take it. Duuuuuuval!!!
You go, girl.

Hi, KOAGF. An impressive second half of the season. After faltering in early November in Houston by letting a win slip away against a backup quarterback, the Jags were only one game ahead of the Houston Texans and built their firewall to win the AFC South with that one-game lead. For eight consecutive games after that, the Jags sent the same message to the Texans of "not this week." A truly amazing run knowing the Texans were waiting for them to slip up and they never did. Congrats, Jags, and thank you for the fun that we are having.
Good eye. The Jaguars indeed were essentially in a must-win situation every week in the final eight games, with one slip potentially costing them the AFC South title. While they did a remarkable job not focusing on that storyline, it was nonetheless a major theme over the last month. This team is tested entering the postseason. That guarantees nothing. But it sure doesn't hurt.

Maybe this is the Southeastern Conference after all.
The NFL is not the Southeastern Conference. You don't usually beat teams routinely by double digits in professional football, but the Jaguars have managed to do it five times in the last six games. That's one part of what makes this Jaguars run so impressive. It's a one-score, big-moment league. The Jaguars are playing above that. They're good, maybe really good.

That's how great teams finish! Congratulations on winning a division title! History awaits! Go Jaguars!
When it comes to appreciating a third AFC South title in nine seasons and looking ahead to more work to do – and to acknowledging greatness when he sees it – Don remains characteristically "all in."

The stadium sounded LOUD on the broadcast. I've watched almost every game for the past 20ish years, and this is the strongest the fans have sounded that I can remember. It is one of the loudest I've heard of any stadium in all the NFL this year. Proud of DUUUVAL county!
One fer Duval.

Been a Jaguars fan since 2001. I've never seen a Jaguars team this good and explosive. Is this the most complete offensive skills rooms in the NFL?
This from this view is the best offense in Jaguars history. They have scored at least 23 points in a franchise-record 10 consecutive games. As significantly, this team has shown itself capable of scoring clutch plays in big situations. Lawrence is playing at a higher level than any quarterback in franchise history, and his receiving corps are a balanced group in whom he clearly has a next-level trust – a trust that has developed at a remarkable rate over the last two or three months. Is it the most complete skill room in the NFL? Perhaps. Either way, it's damned sure in the conversation and damned sure capable of a deep playoff run.

Any word on Cole Van Lanen? I hope he's OK.
Jaguars left tackle Cole Van Lanen left Sunday's game with a knee injury in the fourth quarter and did not return. My early understanding is the injury is not thought serious.

Will they re-sign linebacker Devin Lloyd this week? He's a must.
The Jaguars have many difficult decisions to make in the upcoming offseason.

KOAF: Is it true that part of the stadium reconstruction is to widen doors so that Tony Boselli's inflated head/ego (first from being a Hall of Famer and now for putting together a winning team) can more easily walk around at work?
I smiled at this. But if the Jaguars can win 13 games and the AFC South title on a regular basis, I expect they'll figure out a way to expand a lot of doors.

Sunday at 1:00. The most boring playoff slot available. More fuel for the disrespect fire, as if they need more motivation. Perfect!
A playoff game on Sunday at 1 p.m. is not disrespect.

And here's to you, Mr. Washington!
Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has been remarkable this season. He continued to be productive Sunday, with his 23-yard first-quarter reception tying the game 7-7 and giving the Jaguars a needed big play at a big early moment. He has been impressive. He's a major reason the Jaguars' offense is one of the league's best. He has gone from backup to core player in a span of a few months. Here's to him.

This is pretty cool.
Winning division titles is cool. Fans like it.

Score: 41-7, Trevor Lawrence 4000-plus. Passing yards, Happy birthday, Baby Shae. HOW GOOD IS THAT?
Winning is cool. Fans like it. Birthdays are cool. The Lawrences like them.

Hi, John ! I am not happy. I am delighted! Goosebumps on my goosebumps. I don't know how it happened in one year, but it did. It's always coaching in the NFL. Thank you, Coach Coen. Duuuvvvall Yall!
Like … really cool.
