Jaguars rookie DuJuan Harris knows he has two games remaining to earn a roster spot.  Hernando Today

"Johnson has averaged at least 90 yards receiving per game in each of the past four seasons for the Houston Texans. Rice never did that; his best run was three consecutive years. The only player in the top 50 receivers to do it more than four times consecutively is Lance Alworth, who did it five times with the San Diego Chargers from 1964-68."

"The hardest position to fill on an NFL roster is the franchise quarterback. Back in April, after six quarterbacks went off the board in the first two rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft, six front offices -- the Panthers, Bengals, Vikings, Titans, Jaguars and 49ers -- felt like they found the answer."

"Peyton Manningcould be back on the active roster in the next two weeks. If not, the Colts will have to play the first six games without the four-time MVP."

The last word

" I've done studies going into this year about how LaDainian [Tomlinson] where he didn't play and he kind of started off a little slower at the beginning of the year but when he caught on fire he caught on fire. I guess there are positives and negatives to not playing. For me, obviously coming off the injury I want to be able to go out there and get in a live situation and just see what I can do and see how I feel."
