Winners will see stars

The Jaguars partnered with Maurice Jones-Drew to show support for season ticket holders, and two lucky season ticket holders have been selected from the See the Pro Bowl with Maurice Jones-Drew blogging contest. They will be the recipients of a two-night stay in Miami to enjoy the weekend and watch Jones-Drew compete in the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl on January 31.

Jaguars season ticket holders were given the opportunity to write, in less than 100 words, why they should have the opportunity to go to the Pro Bowl.

Mark Resnick's and John Quinn's blogs were selected as the winners. Resnick and Quinn will each get to bring one guest and will have the opportunity to stay two nights in a Miami hotel, meet Maurice Jones-Drew, and enjoy the Pro Bowl game from great seats in Sun Life Stadium.

Resnick has been a season ticket holder since 1993.

"When I say I'm a day-one season ticket holder, I mean I bought the tickets on the first day they were available," Resnick said. "I never thought I'd get to see a Jaguar in the Pro Bowl, because [the games have] always been in Hawaii."

Resnick says his kids have been brought up with the team and he is excited to be able to share this experience with his son, Aaron (pictured), who will be away at college next year, making this the last football game they'll be able to attend together for some time.

"I was thrilled [when I found out I'd been chosen] and thrilled to be able to do it with my son. He's been a fan of (Jones-Drew) for a long time," Resnick said.

Quinn became a season ticket holder in 2004 after moving to Jacksonville from New York. But in 2006, medical complications arose that made it difficult for a time for him to be able to attend Jaguars games. Quinn says receiving a personal note from Jones-Drew, encouraging him to get well and keep fighting, helped him through the complications.

Being that Jones-Drew is Quinn's favorite player and that he's never had the chance to meet him personally, it's obvious what Quinn is most excited for about the trip.

"I'm excited to meet Maurice most of all," Quinn said. "He's my favorite player – he has been since the Jaguars drafted him."

Quinn says his brother is flying down from New York to join him for the rare opportunity.

See the Pro Bowl with Maurice Jones-Drew is a way that the Jaguars wanted to express their appreciation and reward the loyalty of season ticket holders. Over 600 entries were received.
