(on being drafted in the fourth round) "This is a crazy process. I was trying to keep a level head and not really try to expect or anticipate anything."

(on reaction to going to Jacksonville) "I love it. It worked out great. I kind of developed a relationship with the running backs coach, coach Kennedy Pola. He's a great guy and I would love to play for him. I'm just really fired up."

(on how he developed the relationship with Coach Pola) "We got to know each other at the combine and then he came up to Charlotte where I'm from to work me out. I've talked to him once or twice in the meantime. My agent has a close relationship with him and my agent's wife knows him real well. He's a great guy. He's one of those coaches who I could see myself playing for and really wanted to play for."

(on his ties to Jacksonville) "My dad taught Coach Del Rio's daughter in elementary school in Charlotte. My dad is a teacher in Charlotte and taught his daughter in P.E."

(on his role in Jacksonville) "The only expectation that I have is to go down there and give myself to the team as much as possible. I really just look forward to going down there and learning from my coaches and teammates on what we have to do to win."

(on being a starter in the NFL) "That's not for me to say. I'm the kind of player that gives as much as he can to the team every time on the field and whatever the coaches need me to do, I'm willing to do."

(on if this is a good situation for him) "It's a great fit. I couldn't have asked for a better situation. I have a lot of family in Florida, so I'm excited."
