The Jaguars and Florida High School Football recognized and named their 2026 Girls All- PREP team on Wednesday, May 6. Athletes were chosen based on their on-and-off the field achievements and were considered the best in the area at their respective positions. The Jaguars and Academy Sports + Outdoors invited the 25 athletes, plus the 2026 DREAM BIG Scholarship recipients and Coach and Player of the Year, to a local store where they were recognized with a custom jersey and Jaguars swag from WR Jakobi Meyers and a $200 shopping spree to celebrate their achievements with their mother/mother figure ahead of Mother's Day.
Scott Conroy, Ponte Vedra Head Coach, was named the 2026 Jaguars Girls Flag Coach of the Year. As the inaugural coach of the Ponte Vedra Sharks, a program only in its second year, Conroy guided the Sharks to a perfect 19-0 record through the state regional semifinals, as they continue to advance into the Florida High School Flag State Tournament. In its first two seasons in the program's existence, the Sharks have compiled an incredible 33-3 record, a remarkable 91.6 winning percentage — a level of success rarely seen from a program still establishing its foundation. The Sharks are currently ranked No. 4 overall in Florida by FloridaHSFootball.com, No. 3 overall in the state by MaxPreps, and No. 3 nationally in the MaxPreps National Spring Flag Football Rankings.
Ponte Vedra High School QB Izzy Murray was named the 2026 Jaguars Girls Flag Player of the Year. As a junior she led her team to a perfect 14-0 regular season record and a top five state ranking while going up against one of the toughest schedules in Florida. Murray stepped up even further in 2026 showing her talents across the board on both side of the ball, she completed 350-of-458 passes for 4,123 yards and 63 TDs, while rushing 22 times for 182 yards and 6 TDs on the ground. On defense she recorded 66 flag pulls, 2 flag pull losses, 2 sacks, 3 INTs and 7 PDs securing her Week 3 Player of the Week. It marks her second All-PREP recognition and first-time winning Player of the Year.
In its fourth year, the Jaguars also recognized the 2026 recipients of the DREAM BIG Scholarship. The Jaguars Foundation and Jaguars PREP are dedicated to supporting athletes along their journey, and this scholarship is designed to support female flag athletes pursuing a higher education. This year's recipients include Zaniya Brown from Florida State University Schools, Lydia Gunter from Suwannee Senior High School and Dhriti Vinjam from Stanton College Preparatory School.
"Northeast Florida is filled with exceptional talent, athletes, coaches and programs who are building their foundations and finding success on the field this year which is continuing to propel girls flag football to new heights" says Jaguars Vice President of Community Impact and Football Development, Adriel Rocha. "The Jaguars are honored to be able to recognize this group of athletes for their achievement this school year, they are extremely deserving and we know they are going to continue to excel."
