Official: Fowler traded

ROSTER TRANSACTION

JACKSONVILLE – Dante Fowler Jr. officially is no longer with the Jaguars.

The Jaguars on Tuesday traded the fourth-year veteran pass rusher to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two draft selections: a third-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft and a fifth-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Jaguars announced the trade Tuesday afternoon.

Fowler, the No. 3 overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft from the University of Florida, appeared in 39 games for the Jaguars with one start. He registered two sacks this season after registering a career-high eight last season. He missed his 2015 rookie season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The Jaguars now have seven selections in the 2019 NFL Draft: one selection in the first, second, fourth, sixth and seventh rounds – as well as two selections in the third round. They acquired one of the third-round selections in Tuesday's trade with the Rams and they acquired the seventh-round selection from the Baltimore Ravens for center Luke Bowanko.

They now have eight selections in the 2020 NFL Draft: one selection in the first, second, third, fourth, sixth and seventh rounds and two selections fifth round (including one acquired from the Rams Tuesday).

Fowler has a forced fumble and a fumble recovery this season.
