Children attending the Jay Fund Ice Cream Social hosted by Jaguars Head Coach Tom Coughlin were privy to some previously confidential information. During a tour of the locker room, Equipment Manager Drew Hampton showed the youngsters, as well as their parents and media, the Jaguars new black jersey. Coughlin let the audience know that the jerseys will be worn during their December 1 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The new jerseys are solid black with white numbers and gold striping on the sleeves. The prowling Jaguars logo also appears on the sleeves, as it does on the current teal and white jerseys.

The NFL has granted each team permission to wear a third jersey during one game this season.
