Offense explodes with 491 yards

  • Defensive end Jeremy Mincey made his first career start. * The Jaguars opened the scoring with a 38-yard field goal by Josh Scobee on the opening drive of the game.  It marked only the second time in nine games the Jaguars have scored first.  The Jaguars have scored on their opening possession three times including back-to-back games. * The Jaguars outgained the Texans 200 to 107 in the first half. * Marcedes Lewis finished with five receptions for 53 yards and is the only Jaguar with multiple receptions in all nine games. * The Jaguars have scored 24 touchdowns including 12 touchdown passes with only one interception in the last seven games against Houston. * The Jaguars had a season-high 35:23 time of possession.  The Jaguars have won 10 of the last 13 games when they have a time of possession of 30 minutes or more including a 3-2 mark this season. * The Jaguars' 36 rushing attempts were the second-most this season and marked the sixth time in nine games (5-1 record) the club had 30 or more rushes.  The Jaguars own a 62-15 record under Del Rio with 30 or more rushing attempts with wins in 12 of the last 13 games. * The Jaguars have not thrown an interception in four of their five wins this season. * The Jaguars led at halftime for the second straight game and only second time this season.  The Jaguars improved to 39-7 under Del Rio when holding the lead at the half. * The Jaguars are averaging 31.4 points in their five wins and have scored 30-plus points in four of the wins. * The Jaguars have won 19 of the last 24 games when they score 20-plus points including an 11-2 mark in the last 13.
