"There&39;s been plenty of talking to him," Del Rio said of Knighton. "He&39;s heard a lot from me. He&39;s heard a lot from [defensive line coach] Joe Cullen. He&39;s heard it from [general manager] Gene Smith. He&39;s heard all the words he needs to hear. It&39;s really up to him." Florida Times-Union

"Aaron Kampman won't say the idea is easily embraceable. But Kampman, the Jaguars' veteran defensive end, said Saturday he's excited about the direction of the defensive line. And if the best thing for that group is him playing fewer snaps, then he said he doesn't mind it." Jaguars.com

"And while Del Rio said positives indeed emerged in the preseason opener, there's no question he wants a better result when the team plays host to the Atlanta Falcons in the preseason home opener at EverBank Field Friday at 8 p.m." *Jaguars.com *

"I think I just play the way I play," Garrard said. "It's going to be hard to tell me to stop. The only way to stop is to tell me to get off the field. I'm just going to keep playing. I can't worry about that stuff when I'm out there in action, but I can do more maintenance and more rehabbing to make sure I keep those symptoms away." Jaguars.com

"Playing at a half-full LP Field, rookie Jake Lockerperformed well enough and also showed a touch of creative flair to leave us wondering whether veteran free-agent acquisition Matt Hasselbeckis a lock to start on Week 1 after all." The Tennessean

"The days are still hot. The practices are still long and tough. But the first set of training camps in the NFL's post-lockout world have been a different experience for players, now that reduced-contact provisions in the sport's new collective bargaining agreementare in effect." The last word

"I haven't really looked that far into it. I know I've got a lot of work ahead of me. I've got to learn the defense, I've got to learn the scheme, I've got to learn the technique. Whatever they want me to do, whether I come in and play whether I come in and start, I'm just looking to help out the team and help out the defense."
