Jaguars Black History Month | Jacksonville Jaguars -

Black History Month is about remembering the notable elements of the past and celebrating those whose stories shape our future.

The Jacksonville Jaguars believe it's important to champion those contributions by providing an authentic stage for those stories to be amplified. From our players to the front office, we are committed to honoring the dynamic and difficult moments of Duval's history while also providing a platform from which business owners, rising stars and members of the Jacksonville community can be supported and celebrated as they Create Black History.

Dawuane Smoot Paving the Way

Dawuane Smoot is leaving an everlasting impact on the educational community in Jacksonville. Dawuane Smoot and his wife started The Elsie Academy, which is a new bilingual preschool for children right here in Jacksonville. Smoot and his wife understand the importance of early education for children. We are proud of our athletes making an impact both on and off the field and can't wait to see what is next and the development of this tremendous initiative.
