Boselli Weigh-in generates 4,200 cans of soup for local food bank

Jaguars All-Pro offensive tackle Tony Boselli, joined by sons Andrew and Adam, weighed in today on a giant soupspoon scale as part of the NFL Tackling Hunger 2001 program. Ten times Boselli's weight in cans of Campbell's Chunky Soup will be donated to the LSS Second Harvest Food Bank in Jacksonville.

Media also had the opportunity to weigh-in for the cause and helped produce an additional donation of 1,438 cans of soup. All told, 5,638 cans of soup will be donated to the food bank.

The weigh-in is part of the nationwide NFL Tackling Hunger 2001 program. The goal of the program is to amass more than six million cans of soup to donate to food banks nationwide by Super Bowl XXXVI. Campbell's also donates 2,000 cans for each touchdown scored by every NFL team. Last year, the Jaguars helped donate 107,880 cans to the cause during the football season.
