JACKSONVILLE – Practice was a bit shorter. Again.

That didn't lower the intensity, and it sure didn't lower the heat on a day that featured one of the most spectacular plays of Jaguars 2018 Training Camp.

The Jaguars, after going through their most difficult practice of '18 camp Sunday, worked a shortened, two-hour practice for a second consecutive day on Tuesday. They practiced for about two hours Tuesday in 90-degree temperatures at the Dream Finders Homes Practice Complex.

All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey turned in what easily was the play of the day late in Tuesday's practice. Ramsey, covering unrestricted free-agent wide receiver Donte Moncrief, leaped high and deflected a long pass down the sideline from Blake Bortles.

Ramsey caught the ball with both hands for the interception as he tumbled to the turf.

"It was crazy, because I actually hooked his arm," Moncrief said shortly after practice. "I was getting ready to come out of the backside and I hooked his arm. That joker's so long he stuck his other arm out. That's crazy. That's a play most cornerbacks can't make. He's a great corner. He's talented. He's fast. That was a great play."

Tuesday's work came two days in advance of the team's preseason opener against the defending NFC South Champion New Orleans Saints at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville Thursday at 7 pm.

Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone spoke inside TIAA Bank Field shortly before practice. Coverage of his Tuesday media availability can be found on jaguars.com.

Here's a look at Day 11 practice:

STANDING OUT

*Moncrief had another productive practice Tuesday, catching passes of 25 and 10 yards early in practice on passes from Bortles and backup Cody Kessler, respectively. Moncrief's 25-yard reception came over Ramsey and was one of the early highlights of practice. Moncrief has been productive this week after missing much of last week with an ankle injury. …

*Rookie third-team quarterback Tanner Lee had one of his best practices of camp, completing a 30-yard pass early in practice to wide receiver Montay Crockett and later throwing a touchdown pass to tight end DeAndre Goolsby. Lee also connected for a 50-yard pass to wide receiver Dorren Miller.

*Wide receiver Shane Wynn continued to stand out in camp, catching a 15-yard pass from Bortles late in 11-on-11 work. …

*Tight end Ben Koyack had one of his most noticeable plays of training camp, catching a 15-yard pass over the middle from Kessler. …

PLAY OF THE DAY

There were a few other candidates as mentioned above, but nothing Tuesday – indeed, nothing in Jaguars 2018 Training Camp to date – could beat Ramsey's leaping interception Tuesday.

INJURY WATCH

Defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. (shoulder) remained on the Physically Unable to Perform list. The fourth-year veteran has been on PUP since the beginning of training camp.

The Jaguars ruled out four players before Tuesday's practice: Defensive end Calais Campbell, nose tackle Eli Ankou, wide receiver DeAndre Smelter, linebacker and defensive end Taven Bryan. Marrone said early Tuesday that Ankou has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Saints, and that the status of the other injured players is uncertain as of Tuesday.

NOTABLE

*Rookie Leon Jacobs continued to work with the first team at strongside linebacker. He has worked there when healthy throughout training camp. …

*The first-team offensive line continued on Tuesday to be left tackle Cam Robinson, left guard Andrew Norwell, center Brandon Linder, right guard A.J. Cann and right tackle Jermey Parnell. That has been the lineup throughout most of camp. …
