JACKSONVILLE – The pads stayed on, and it stayed hot.

That was the tone Wednesday as the second week of Jaguars 2018 Training Camp reached its midway point with the team working in full pads for a fourth consecutive day at the Dream Finders Home Practice Complex.

After a respite from the heat with a rainy Tuesday afternoon practice, the hot conditions returned on Wednesday. The two-and-half-hour work took place in 91-degree temperatures.

Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone, after speaking to the media before practice on Monday and Tuesday, did not speak Wednesday. Quarterback Blake Bortles and cornerback A.J. Bouye were scheduled to meet with the media after practice Wednesday.

Coverage of those availabilities can be found Wednesday afternoon on jaguars.com.

INJURY WATCH

Wide receiver Marqise Lee, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue and linebacker Telvin Smith all returned to practice Wednesday. Ngakoue missed Tuesday after being poked in the eye Monday, but returned wearing a shield over his facemask Wednesday. Smith missed Tuesday's practice for personal reasons. Tight end Niles Paul missed practice with a hamstring injury.

Defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. (shoulder) remained on the Physically Unable to Perform list, where he has been since the start of training camp.
