jaguars.com visitors can help tackle hunger

October is Tackling Hunger Month, and Jaguars fans can now help donate cans of Chunky Soup to nationwide food banks.

Beginning October 1, fans logged on to jaguars.com can click on the Chunky Soup can to help the Jaguars and Campbell's Chunky Soup Tackle Hunger by way of the Click for Cans program.

Throughout October, Web users can also visit www.chunky.com and click on the Jaguars helmet. For each click, Campbell Soup Company will donate one can of Campbell's soup to a hunger relief charity in the United States.

The Click for Cans goal is to donate 5 million cans of soup to food banks across the country. It's all part of the Campbell's Chunky/ NFL Tackling Hunger Program, which has donated more than 26 million cans of soup since its inception in 1997. In August during training camp defensive tackle Marcus Stroud and rookie offensive tackle Mike Pearson helped donate over 6,600 cans of soup to Jacksonville's LSS Second Harvest Food Bank as part of the NFL Tackling Hunger program. The players weighed in on a giant soupspoon scale and had ten times their combined weight donated in cans of Chunky Soup.

The more times you participate, the more food you can provide for those less fortunate. So come back daily and be sure to tell your friends, too. Limit one click per day, per visitor.

Together, we CAN tackle hunger.
