The Jacksonville Jaguars today launched a new social media fan engagement platform called THE JAGUARS SOCIAL LEAGUE, where Jaguars fans can earn points and prizes by showing their support for the team through their use of social media.

Fans can sign up for the new Jaguars Social League at www.jaguars.com/socialleague . They can earn points by registering at the site and synching up their own social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to engage with the Jaguars. Fans earning the most points each month will be featured on a Jaguars Social Media Leaderboard and will qualify to win great prizes throughout the year, including a grand prize of a trip to London to see the Jaguars take on the San Francisco 49ers at Wembley Stadium, next October.

Developed in partnership with Lodestone Social Media, a leader in sports social media programs, Jaguars fans will receive points for participating in social media activities such as 'liking' Facebook posts, commenting, sharing, tweeting hashtags, re-tweeting and checking in on Foursquare. They will also gain "social" points for visiting jaguars.com, signing up for Jaguars e-newsletters and purchasing merchandise or tickets online.

As they earn points for their social media interaction, Jaguars fans can then apply points to enter the monthly contests and annual sweepstakes that will be offered. Along with identifying who the Jaguars' super social media fans are, the new Social League allows the Jaguars to create a unique experience and promotion for their fans, drive awareness and reward fan social media loyalty and interaction.

Included in the sweepstakes is a grand annual prize of a trip for two to see the Jaguars take on the San Francisco 49ers in London in October, 2013. Monthly prizes include season tickets, seat upgrades, pregame field passes and the chance to lead the team out through the Prowl during a preseason game.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping said, "We're excited to be working with Lodestone Sports in launching this new initiative which will reward our fans for engaging with the Jaguars across the many social media platforms available today. It is our goal to grow the Jaguars nation through social media locally, nationally and internationally, and the new Jaguars Social League brings all of the opportunities to engage the Jaguars through social media together, allowing us to reward our fans for their social dedication to, and support of, the Jaguars."

Mark Drosos, President of Lodestone Sports, commented, "We are delighted to have the Jaguars as our partner. Their commitment to social media will create an even stronger bond between the team and their fans. With the shift in consumer attention to social media and the 'second screen' experience, the Jaguars Social League will allow the team to develop great new in-game social media promotions, extend traditional marketing programs into social networks like Facebook and reward fans for their social media support."
