The Jacksonville Jaguars have launched new ways for fans to receive information from and about the team. The Jaguars will utilize Twitter, Facebook and text messaging alerts to provide fans with timely information, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the organization and the opportunity to engage in conversations with players and coaches.
"New technologies such as Twitter offer unique opportunities to communicate with our fans," Jaguars Vice President of Communications Dan Edwards said. "We are excited about giving our fans another option to get a behind-the-scenes look at our organization and keep them updated on daily news, in addition to what we provide on jaguars.com.
"Twitter, Facebook and text messaging services will allow fans to receive the information they want in a timely manner."
Followers on Twitter will receive unique updates about the players and the organization and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Jaguars. Players will have the opportunity to interact with fans by responding directly to their questions. Twitter is a service to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages.
The Jaguars official page on Facebook will let fans comment and discuss news, videos, and photos posted by the team. They can also RSVP to Jaguars events and interact with other fans.
