JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars on Friday practiced at the Miller Electric Center.

The Jaguars (6-4) will play the Arizona Cardinals (3-7) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., Sunday in a 2025 Week 12 game. A look at Friday around the Jaguars – with Head Coach Liam Coen speaking to the media for the final time before Sunday:

The Jaguars on Friday released the third of three injury reports for the week, with starting defensive end Travon Walker (knee) and linebacker Yasir Abdullah (finger) ruled out for Sunday's game after missing practice for a third consecutive day.

Walker and Abdullah were among five Jaguars players ruled out Friday. The others: Starting wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle), starting right tackle Anton Harrison (knee/ankle) and tight end Hunter Long (hip/knee).

Starting tight end Brenton Strange (hip), whose 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened last week, was listed as questionable Friday. Cornerbacks Jarrian Jones (quadriceps) and starting nickel/cornerback Jourdan Lewis (neck) also were listed as questionable.

The Jaguars also on Friday listed the following eight players without status, meaning they are expected to be available to play Sunday:

Starting running back Travis Etienne Jr. (shoulder), running back Bhayshul Tuten (ankle), starting right guard Patrick Mekari (knee), rookie guard Wyatt Milum (knee), linebacker Dennis Gardeck (chest), starting cornerback Greg Newsome II (ankle), starting safety Andrew Wingard (back) and starting defensive tackle Arik Armstead (illness).

Coen on Friday said players such as rookies Danny Striggow and B.J. Green II, as well as veteran Dawuane Smoot, will have roles Sunday with Walker out. He called the confidence in that group "high."

"We're going to need those guys this week to continue to elevate and step up – and just go be creative, go be yourselves," Coen said. "We see it all the time with B.J. and Danny on the 'show' team. We see it every day. We're looking forward to them taking another step in their development."

Smoot has a sack and 2 pressures this season, with Striggow registering .5 sacks in a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers last Sunday and Green having a sack negated by a roughing-the-passer penalty against the Chargers.

Coen on Friday had high praise for Arik Armstead.

Armstead, a 11th-year veteran in his second season with the Jaguars, leads the team with 5.5 sacks and also has 7 pressures.

"Going back to the [Week 8] bye, Arik Armstead has practiced out of his mind – out of his mind," Coen said. "Every single rep he's in the backfield in practice. Every single time. To see him disrupting as much as he has, it's showing up in practice. That's where he's doing it.

"It's not like he's hanging out on the sidelines during practice and going out in games and doing it. He's doing it every day in practice. He's trying to set an example about what we're looking for in terms of preparation and getting vertical.

"I've been really pleased with Arik. He has been so consistent. I've appreciated that as well."

Coen on Friday also called defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton "an unsung hero in a lot of ways," noting that the sixth-year veteran is key to a run defense that ranks second in the NFL at 86.7 yards per game.

"He has been so consistent," Coen said. "He's a huge reason we've been able to stop the run up front – a massive reason. He makes plays on his own, but he helps others in so many ways. When you talk about a group effort stopping the run, and flat-wall defense, and playing square and using your hands and shedding blocks, and making the plays that come your way, DaVon has been so consistent that way.

"He's just a pro's pro as well. He goes about his business, does it at a high level week in and week out, and that's his standard and expectation."
