JACKSONVILLE – Defense remains the watchword.

This is the third 2026 jaguars.com mock draft tracker – with analysts continuing to project the Jaguars in a defensive direction in Round 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Interior defensive line. Cornerback. Safety. Linebacker.

Analysts continue to project those positions to the Jaguars with the No. 56 overall selection in the '26 draft – with players such as Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller, Arkansas cornerback Julian Neal and Miami cornerback Keionte Scott projected there.

Also projected to the Jaguars in Round 2 recently: Southern California safety Kamari Ramsey, Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., Missouri linebacker Josiah Trotter and Arizona State cornerback Keith Abney II.

Here's a look at the Jaguars' selections in the '26 draft:

Round 2 (original Jaguars selection), Round 3 (Jaguars), Round 3 (acquired in a trade with the Detroit Lions), Round 3 (Detroit Lions, compensatory), Round 4 (Jaguars), Round 5 (Jaguars), Round 5 (Philadelphia Eagles/conditional), Round 6 (Philadelphia Eagles through Houston Texans), Round 7 (Jaguars), Round 7 (Los Angeles Rams through Texans) and Round 7 (Detroit Lions).

Here's the third jaguars.com 2026 mock draft tracker, with a look at players analysts believe the Jaguars may select No. 56 overall:

Christen Miller, interior defensive line, 6-4, 320, Georgia.

  • Briefly: Played 2022-2025 at Georgia. Was an All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2025. Early-entry junior.
  • Analyst: Jaime Eisner, The Draft Network.
  • Date: March 2.
  • Eisner comment: "Christen Miller has heavy hands and projects as a solid NFL starter. He needs to work on fine-tuning all elements of his game to reach his potential, but he's not far off from doing that."

Julian Neal, cornerback, 6-2, 200, Arkansas.

  • Briefly: Played at Arkansas in 2025 after playing for Fresno State from 2021-2024, where he registered two interceptions in 30 games.
  • Analyst: Jordan Reid, ESPN.
  • Date: March 3.
  • Reid comment: "Neal is a long, scheme-versatile corner who comes with pro-ready poise in his perimeter technique."

Keionte Scott, cornerback, 6-0, 195, Miami

  • Briefly: A redshirt senior, Scott played at Miami in 2025 after three seasons at Auburn and two at Snow College – a public community college in Ephraim, Utah. A second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection in 2025 when he started at nickelback for Miami.
  • Analyst: Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News.
  • Date: February 26.

  • Briefly: Played at Texas from 2023-2025. Second-team All-America selection in 2024-2025 and a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2024-2025. A freshman All-America selection in 2023 and the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2023.
  • Analyst: Justin Melo, NFL Draft on SI.
  • Date: February 23.
  • Melo comment: "Hill is long and athletic with high-level instincts and a fierce ability to trigger downhill."

Josiah Trotter, linebacker, 6-2, 237, Missouri.

  • Briefly: Played 2023-2024 at West Virginia and 2025 at Missouri. Was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2025 and was the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2024. Some of former NFL linebacker Jeremiah Trotter and brother of NFL linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
  • Analyst: Cameron Sheath, Pro Football Network.
  • Date: February 23.
  • Sheath comment: The Jaguars' defense made strides under Anthony Campanile in 2025, and Josiah Trotter would be a great fit to further that improvement. His 176 tackles and 17 tackles for loss highlight his drive to get to the ball carrier."

Keith Abney II, cornerback, 6-0, 190, Arizona State

  • Briefly: Played three seasons at Arizona State and entered the NFL Draft after his junior season. A first-team All-Big 10 selection in 2025.
  • Analyst: Jacob Infante, Pro Football Network.
  • Date: February 21.
  • Infante comment: "Abney made significant improvements to his stock this season, looking the part of a potential NFL starter along the perimeter. He's a well-rounded cornerback with very good ball skills who brings ideal aggressiveness as a tackler."
