Kyle Brady and teammates set for annual Gridiron Masquerade

Jaguars tight end Kyle Brady, who returned to the lineup after recovering from a finger injury to make three critical catches in the team's 22-16 win over Kansas City, will be the celebrity host for the second annual Kyle Brady's Gridiron Masquerade Presented by Winn-Dixie next week.

Scheduled for Monday night, October 25 at the Lower West Club in Alltel Stadium and sanctioned by the Jacksonville Super Bowl Host Committee, Kyle Brady's Gridiron Masquerade is an adult costume party that features live music, gourmet food and beverages, live and silent auctions, and a Best Costume Contest.

A crowd of 400 attendees, including several of Brady's Jaguars teammates, is expected to attend the gala that will raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida and its NFL YET (Youth Education Town) Center. Scheduled to join Brady at the event will be Jaguars' teammates Nick Sorensen (special teams captain), Joe Zelenka (center), David Garrard (quarterback), Seth Marler (kicker), Brandon Green (defensive end) and tight end George Wrighster.

The NFL YET Center program was instituted by the league in 1993 in Super Bowl host cities as a way to leave a lasting, positive program in place. YET Centers provided opportunities for at-risk youth in the form of tutorials, advanced learning skills, athletics and the arts. A YET Center has been built in each host city since the program began.

Funding will be raised for the facility via ticket sales, corporate sponsorships, and proceeds from live and silent auctions, said Debbie Verges, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.

"We are extremely grateful and indebted to Kyle Brady and his wife Kristi, who have been consistent and ardent supporters of all our programs," Verges said. "We couldn't do this event without them, as well as the incredible support for the Jacksonville corporate community led by our Presenting Sponsor, Winn-Dixie."

Tickets to the event cost $80 (Brady's jersey number) and allow attendees to mingle with Jaguars players, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, open bar, live music and dancing. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website at www.gridiron-jax.com or call (904) 396-4435.
