On January 26, 2005, the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation teamed up with First Book, an award winning national nonprofit organization, Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, the City of Jacksonville, and corporate and Foundation partners in celebration of Super Bowl XXXIX, to distribute more than 100,000 books to children from low-income families.
Jacksonville Jaguars' linebacker, Akin Ayodele assisted with the distribution of books to children from local organizations, including Communities in Schools of Jacksonville, The Bridge of Northeast Florida, and Community Connections of Jacksonville.
