Official: Shenault signs

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars continue to get their draft class under contract.

Laviska Shenault Jr., a wide receiver selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has signed his rookie contract with the Jaguars. The team announced the signing late Thursday afternoon.

Shenault (6-feet-1, 227 pounds), who played collegiately at the University of Colorado, caught 149 passes for 1,943 yards in three seasons and 32 career games.

Shenault, who forewent his senior season to declare for the draft, caught 56 passes for 764 yards and four touchdowns in 2019 after catching 86 passes for 1,011 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore in 2018.

The Jaguars now have signed five of 12 players in their '20 draft class: Shenault, defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton (Round 3, No. 73 overall, Ohio State), tight end Tyler Davis (Round 6, No. 206 overall, Georgia Tech), wide receiver Collin Johnson (Round 5, No. 165, Texas) and linebacker Shaq Quarterman (Round 4, No. 140, Miami).

Shenault was selected No. 42 overall.

The rest of the Jaguars' '20 draft class: Cornerback CJ Henderson (Round 1, No. 9 overall, Florida), defensive end/linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson (Round 1, No. 20, Louisiana State), offensive lineman Ben Bartch (Round 4, No. 116, St. John's), cornerback Josiah Scott (Round 4, No. 137, Michigan State), safety Daniel Thomas (Round 5, No. 157, Auburn), quarterback Jake Luton (Round 6, No. 189, Oregon State) and cornerback Chris Claybrooks (Round 7, No. 223, Memphis).
