16x9-BILLWALSH-2026

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced three additions to the coaching staff as part of the NFL's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program: Maurice Banks, Zach Banner and Tyshon Fogg. The three coaches will be with the team for the Jaguars' offseason program from May to June.

For over 30 years, the league-wide fellowship program has helped outstanding coaches gain exposure to NFL training camps and offseason workout programs.

Banks currently serves as chief of staff for Towson University's football program. He previously spent five seasons as head coach at Gettysburg College (2021-25), where 12 players earned all-league honors under his guidance. Prior to Gettysburg, Banks made stops at the University of Pennsylvania (2019) and Georgetown University (2014-18) after coaching football in Brazil from 2012-14. He has also coached in Austria, Germany and Italy.

A native of Brandywine, Md., the Georgetown graduate was a team captain and two-time All-Patriot League defensive back with the Hoyas. He played professionally for the Boise Burn in the Arena Football League, the Marburg Mercenaries in Germany and the Bergamo Lions in Italy.

Banner, a former NFL offensive lineman, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round (137th overall) of the 2017 draft. He played in 30 career games (two starts) for the Cleveland Browns (2017) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2018-21). Banner was coached by current Jaguars offensive line coach and former Steelers offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett for three seasons in Pittsburgh.

Banner is from Tacoma, Wash., and played collegiately at the University of Southern California from 2013-16. He was twice named All-American and First-Team All-Pac 12 and served as a team captain.

Fogg enters his first season in 2026 as linebackers coach and run game coordinator at the University of New Hampshire. He previously spent three seasons at Syracuse as a graduate assistant (defensive backs) in 2023, a quality control coach (linebackers) in 2024 and an analyst (defensive line/special teams) in 2025.

A standout linebacker at Rutgers from 2017-21, Fogg was a team captain, four-time Academic All-Big Ten, two-time Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and earned All-ECAC defensive honors. The Baltimore, Md., native finished his collegiate career with 293 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble over 49 games played.
