O-Zone Late Night, Week 18: Jaguars 41, Titans 7

Articles-Tile

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars finished the 2025 regular season Sunday as they played much of it.

Impressively. Very, very impressively.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was impressive again. So was the defense. The Jaguars did what was expected and needed – dominating a team they were supposed to dominate in a game they needed to win to win their first division title in four seasons and their fifth in franchise history.

These Jaguars aren't perfect. But they're really good as the postseason approaches. The coming weeks will be pressurized and nerve-wracking – and maybe fun. Stay tuned.

Let's get to it …

Clayton from Shawnee, OK

Trevor, wow.

Lawrence completed 22 of 30 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns Sunday, with all three touchdowns in the first half. He threw 20 touchdown passes with five interceptions during the Jaguars' eight-game winning streak to end the 2025 regular season. This is no fluke. This no one-off. He's very good – on a level with the better quarterbacks in the NFL. He's The Guy.

Cam freaking' Little!!!! Let's go!!!

Jaguars kicker Cam Little converted a 67-yard field goal Sunday on the final play of the first half. It was his second-longest field goal of the season. It also was the second-longest field goal ever successfully kicked in the NFL. Cam freaking Little? Let's go? Damned right.

John from Carolina Beach

Obviously, the Pro Bowl system is broken, but how the HECK did Cam Little not make the roster?

Please reference the beginning of your question.

Roger from Houston via Jacksonville

A satisfying, cathartic win.

The Jaguars beat the Titans 41-7 Sunday. They beat the Titans 25-3 in Nashville earlier this season. That's 66-10 over the Titans for the season. Are there Jaguars fans who like that? Who find it cathartic? I'm sure that's the case.

Steve from Shreveport, LA

A total beatdown and it couldn't happen to a nicer team!! I feel so good.

The Jaguars scored 41 points Sunday, their most ever against the Titans. The 34-point margin of victory was their widest in series history. Fans like that, too.

Anita from Springfield

Always good to sweep the Titans.

The Jaguars have swept the Titans in three of the past four seasons. They are 7-1 against the Titans in the last eight games in the series. Jaguars fans like that, too, it seems.

Charles from Riverside

Hello, John. With the limited capacity at the 'Bank in 2026 and playing the entire season out of Jacksonville in 2027, it sure is nice to pick up those extra home games at Nissan stadium!

Charles' got jokes. He also has a very loooooog memory. But he's got jokes.

Jesse from CA

I hope I get the first question of the day. Well, that was a horrible first drive on both offense and defense. If we do that in playoffs, we will be one and done.

This indeed was the much-ballyhooed, oft-anticipated, sometimes-pertinent First Email of the Game – and the Jaguars indeed had a rough first drive offensively before allowing a touchdown on Tennessee's first drive. They trailed 7-0 at the time. While such a start is not ideal, it does not end the game as NFL games are 60 minutes as opposed five.

Nicholas from Fort Hood, TX

Curse of the backup quarterback real?

Isn't now. Never was. Won't ever be.

Roger from Heidelberg, Germany

Do we finally have a good football team in Jacksonville? Off to the playoffs.

The Jaguars are 13-4 and AFC South champions. They have won eight consecutive games, with five of their last six victories by 14 or more points. They beat the 12-5 San Francisco 49ers, the 14-3 Denver Broncos, the 12-5 Houston Texans and the 11-6 Los Angeles Chargers this season. If you don't believe they're good by now, maybe you never will.

Tom from The Mean Streets of Nocatee

With a Little luck, we can work it out…

Really? Countless Beatles and Wings songs and solo stuff from which to choose, and this is what you send me?

Gabe from Washington, DC

Brad Allen! What those fans clamored for all those years ago.

I smiled at this.

Jeremy from Gilbert, AZ

What happened to our offensive line the second half of the season? Lawrence is under constant pressure and running lanes aren't there any more. This will be a thing in the playoffs.

The Jaguars won 13 games this season and won the AFC South for a third time in franchise history. They finished the season with 31 takeaways and were ranked No. 1 in the NFL in run defense. Lawrence has emerged as an elite quarterback and a Most Valuable Player. For the love of all that's holy, can we please get someone to fix those little lights?
