Official: Jaguars Sign Contract Extension for Safety Daniel Thomas

JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars have moved to solidify their depth and special teams.

Daniel Thomas, a safety entering his fifth NFL season, has re-signed with the Jaguars. The team announced the signing March 8, 2024.

Thomas, a fifth-round selection by the Jaguars in the 2020 NFL Draft, started four of 56 games played in his first four NFL seasons – playing a role as a backup defensively and developing into one of the Jaguars' top special teams players.

Thomas in four seasons has 18 special teams tackles, 14 solo, and was second on the team in special teams tackles in 2023 with seven – all solo.
