Roster Moves: Jaguars Sign Running Back D'Ernest Johnson

WELCOME D'ERNEST JOHNSON RUNNING BACK

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed RB D'Ernest Johnson, the team announced today.

Johnson has played in 64 career NFL games with the Cleveland Browns from 2019-22. He originally went undrafted in 2018 and played with the Orlando Apollos in the AAF in 2019.

From 2019-22, Johnson recorded 738 rushing yards and two TDs on 138 carries, including a career-high 534 rushing yards on 100 rushes in 2021. He has totaled 31 receptions for 229 yards in his four-year career and returned 26 kickoffs for 646 yards.

Originally from Immokalee, Fla., Johnson played collegiately at South Florida from 2014-17 and rushed 421 times for 1,796 yards and 16 touchdowns. Johnson also finished as USF's career leader in all-purpose yards (4,186), receptions by a running back (73), and receiving yards by a running back (909).
