JACKSONVILLE – The Prowlers are back, times four.
They're back with a divisional flair – and a flair for big matchups, too – with the Jaguars on Wednesday announcing that they will play four home games during the 2025 season wearing their popular, iconic "Prowler Throwbacks."
The Jaguars in 2025 will play all three AFC South rivals – the Houston Texans, the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans – while wearing the Prowlers and they also will wear them against the three-time defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Those are four series with historic significance for the Jaguars, and what follows is a look at those series:
- Houston Texans (September 21, 1 p.m.) This rivalry dates to 2002, when the expansion Texans and Jaguars both joined the newly formed AFC South – and while the Texans often have had the advantage in the series, the Jaguars have their share of memorable moments. The Texans, who lead the series 31-15, won nine consecutive games in the series from 2018-2022 and 20 of 24 from 2011-2022. Highlight moments for the Jaguars against the Texans include a 31-24 victory in 2010 in which quarterback David Garrard completed a 50-yard Hail Mary pass to wide receiver Mike Thomas on the game's last play. Also notable: A series sweep for the Jaguars in 2017 that was key to their AFC South title that season, with the Jaguars setting a franchise record with 10 sacks in a 29-7 victory in Houston in the regular-season opener and a 45-7 December victory in Jacksonville that marked their largest margin of victory that season.

- Kansas City Chiefs (October 6, 8:15 p.m.) Being a non-division game, the Chiefs-Jaguars history is not as rich or deep as the Jaguars' series against their three division rivals. And with the Chiefs having been a model NFL franchise for more than a decade, they also have taken a 10-6 series lead with eight consecutive victories in the series since 2010. The Chiefs are 7-0 against the Jaguars since Andy Reid took over as head coach in 2013 – including a 27-20 victory in Kansas City in an AFC Divisional Playoff following the 2022 season. The Jaguars won six of the first eight games in the series, including four of the first five.

- Indianapolis Colts (December 7, 1 p.m.) The Jaguars and Colts have played 48 times, with the first meeting coming in the Jaguars' 1995 inaugural season. The Colts won that matchup in Jacksonville, 41-31, but the 2002 formation of the AFC South turned this into a division rivalry. The Colts lead the all-time series, 28-20, but the Jaguars have won three of the last four meetings and have won the last 10 home games in the series with the Colts' last victory in Jacksonville in 2015. Jaguars highlights in the series: A 44-17 victory over the Colts in 2006 when the Jaguars rushed for a franchise-record 375 yards and a 51-16 victory over the Colts in Jacksonville in 2016. Another highlight came in the 2021 regular-season finale, when the Jaguars upset the Colts in Jacksonville, 26-11, to eliminate Indianapolis from the postseason.

- Tennessee Titans (January 3-4, TBD) This is the Jaguars' oldest and perhaps fiercest rival, extending to the Jaguars' 1995 inaugural season when the Titans were the Houston Oilers and the teams both competed in the old AFC Central. The Titans lead the all-time series 35-26 and notably gave the Jaguars their lone three losses in an otherwise perfect 1999 seasons, beating the Jaguars 33-14 in Jacksonville the AFC Championship Game following that season. The Jaguars have won five of the last six meetings, with the Jaguars scoring perhaps their most memorable and important victory in the series in the 2022 regular-season finale. The Jaguars beat the Titans, 20-16, in that game in a prime-time Saturday Night Football game with Josh Allen returning a fumble 37 yards for the game-winning touchdown with 2:51 remaining. The victory gave the Jaguars a five-game winning streak to end the regular season and their second AFC South title in franchise history – their first since 2017.
