Roster Moves: Jaguars Extend Quarterback C.J. Beathard

Jaguars QB C.J. Beathard contract extension

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed QB C.J. Beathard to a contract extension, the team announced today.

Beathard, who originally signed with the Jaguars in 2021, has played in six games for Jacksonville over the last two seasons. He's played in 25 career games during his time in the NFL with 12 starts and completed 300-of-500 passes for 3,537 yards and 18 TDs. Beathard was drafted by the 49ers where he played from 2017-20.

Beathard attended the University of Iowa and played in 41 games, completing 454-of-782 passes for 5,562 yards and 40 TDs. Beathard accumulated several honors during his time in Iowa City, including team captain, Academic All-Big Ten, the Hayden Fry Award (most valuable player on offense) and the "Extra Heartbeat" Award.
