JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2026 Training Camp continued Sunday.

It was the fourth day of the second training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen, featuring a two-hour practice in helmets and shoulder pads at the Miller Electric Center. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media – senior writer John Oehser, senior correspondent Brian Sexton, senior reporter/editor J.P. Shadrick, team reporter Kainani Stevens and correspondent John Shipley – will share an observation.

Oehser…

Another day, another notable practice for Travis Hunter – and another productive day for the offense. That's becoming a bit of an early trend in '26 camp, and Sunday's final "acclimation" practice may have been the second-year wide receiver/cornerback's best practice since joining the Jaguars as the No. 2 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. Hunter, who played extensively on offense and defense as a rookie and who will do so again this season, made a spectacular downfield reception from quarterback Trevor Lawrence early in practice. He followed that with an athletic interception on a pass to tight end Quintin Morris, then followed that with a second standout reception. Hunter's ball skills and after-catch ability is elite, and that's starting to flash consistently. Also continuing to stand out Sunday: Veteran wide receiver Parker Washington, with a sliding touchdown reception on a throw from Lawrence. Notable, too, on Sunday: Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. participating in team drills for the first time. The four-practice, unpadded "acclimation" period ended Sunday. Monday will be the first '26 camp practice in pads. It's time to get started.

Sexton…

While I spend a lot of training camp focused on the bottom half of the roster, I couldn't help but focus on Hunter Sunday. He made plays all over the field and on both sides of the ball. He blew past the coverage in early team work, and Lawrence put the ball right on the money. Just a few minutes later, wearing the white pullover jersey on defense, he took the ball away in coverage running the exact same way towards the end zone. Minutes later, back in teal on offense, he made a beautiful leaping catch over a cornerback and safety who were trying to keep up. I asked a veteran scout if this might be his best practice since arriving last spring and got a vigorous nod – and smile – in reply. Everyone has an opinion about how and where they should use him. The Jaguars' brain trust has it right: Let Hunter be Hunter, and no matter where he plays or how many snaps on whichever side of the ball he gets, he will help them win.

Shadrick …

This was the Travis Hunter practice we've been anticipating. On offense, he made two catches on balls deep down the field. On defense, he came down with an interception off a pass from backup quarterback Nick Mullens. He's a dynamic player on both sides of the ball, and the questions will persist on how much and where to use him. The Jaguars have a camp plan for him, then will reassess as the weeks move along to ensure he's ready to go September 13. The amount of work he does on the field is evident, but the behind-the-scenes work that he has done all offseason to get back to full strength physically and mentally is paying off.

Stevens…

The Jaguars returned to practice after a player day off Saturday and showcased good energy on their final day of '26 camp before the pads go on. Hunter, who spoke to the media on Friday saying he feels no limitations from his knee injury and explaining he is as fast as ever despite putting on ten pounds of muscle in the offseason, continues to impress. He dazzled fans Sunday with an interception and a few high-flying catches. Teammate wide receiver Jakobi Meyers was impressed with not only Hunter's ability to jump, but also his bounce back down to the ground. Meyers, looking forward to pads coming on Monday, advised his fellow offensive teammates not to be tentative but to always go 100 percent then tone it back if necessary.

Shipley …

Sunday marked the final day of the early no-pads period, and it is clear the Jaguars are itching for the increased intensity Monday. Sunday's practice featured plenty of situational work, though there were a few standout plays from the pass-catchers. Washington made a touchdown catch at the end of the day after making a smooth slide through the end zone, and he has routinely gotten open at ease throughout team drills. Rookie receiver CJ Williams also made another standout catch, bringing in a downfield pass from Mullens after adjusting his body and winning the ball in the air. This doesn't even mention the downfield grab that Hunter made on a throw from Lawrence, where he was able to beat tight coverage (and potential defensive pass interference) to bring in the highlight catch of the day. The Jaguars have been able to get it done in the air throughout the first few days of training camp.
