JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Sunday.
It was the ninth day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen, featuring a two-hour, thirty-minute practice in helmets and "spider" pads at the Miller Electric Center. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media – senior writer John Oehser, senior reporter/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens – will share an observation.
Here are Sunday's "campservations:"

- Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Sunday – and if the day had an in-between feel two days after Friday's Stadium Scrimmage and two days before a run of three consecutive practice days, there also were highlight moments and more encouraging news for the offense. The Jaguars' work in "spider pads" Sunday felt comparatively light in terms of contact, though there were more strong runs from a running-back group that has appeared strong and deep in camp. Rookie running back Ja'Quinden Jackson, who signed as a collegiate free agent shortly after the 2025 NFL Draft, continues to impress and could push for the 53-player regular-season roster; running backs Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne Jr. also impressed Sunday. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence also on Sunday looked efficient through most of a red-zone-heavy practice, with one of the highlight plays a well-timed pass into the corner of the end zone to rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter– who made an athletic reception for a touchdown and who continues to show the quickness, athleticism and playmaking ability that made him the No. 2 overall selection in the '25 draft. Lawrence looked very good in Friday's scrimmage and continues to look in control and confident in his first training camp in Head Coach Liam Coen's offensive system. There's little better news for this franchise than that.

- The Jaguars worked in a few red-zone periods Sunday morning, giving a spotlight to Hunter on the offensive side. He made multiple contested catches in the end zone, and his ability to shake defenders early in routes will come in handy. One pass tipped off his fingers as he reached out and was intercepted on a diving catch by safety Andrew Wingard. Tight end Hunter Long was also a favorite target on Sunday, and rookie linebacker Jack Kiser had an interception return for a touchdown. Players are off Monday, and then the final practice open to fans is Tuesday.

- A heavy emphasis on red zone during Sunday's practice gave some high entertainment for the fans. Hunter came down with a contested catch in the end zone for an early score. Kiser had an interception off Nick Mullens and ran it back for a touchdown. There are some more injury concerns coming out of Friday's scrimmage as rookie linebacker Jalen McLeod is listed as week-to-week with a lower body injury. Also: Veteran defensive lineman Arik Armstead is dealing with a back injury. Armstead has not been participating in individual drills so far in training camp and he did not dress for the scrimmage Friday night. Defensive line depth is something to keep an eye on as second-year tackle Maason Smith still remains on the physically unable to perform list.
