JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Tuesday.
It was the 14th day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen, featuring about a two-hour practice in pads at the Miller Electric Center. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media – senior writer John Oehser, senior reporter/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens – will share an observation.
Here are Tuesday's "campservations:"

- Tuesday offered some serious training-camp intensity as Preseason Week 2 approaches, with a veteran wide receiver continuing to impress – and with a practice that finally featured some fisticuffs. The team moved back into padded work after a lighter practice Monday, with rookie wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter cramping late and wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. shaken up for a few plays. Rookie guard Wyatt Milum also left briefly. The day's standout player: Third-year wide receiver Parker Washington, who caught at least five passes from starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence – including a big-time, contested 25-yard catch near the goal line and multiple long receptions, including one late in practice in a late-game situation that could have been a touchdown. While Hunter, Thomas and Dyami Brown are the Jaguars' three top receivers, Washington has impressed enough to perhaps push his way into a larger-than-expected role.

Another "highlight" Tuesday: A camp scrap between running back LeQuint Allen Jr. and linebacker Branson Combs, with both players landing punches at their helmeted foe before being separated and returning to practice.
"That's a good thing," Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile said.
"It means guys are usually competing. You don't want guys fighting all day and wrecking the practice. There's not time for that, but sometimes tempers flare. Usually, that means there's emotion out there, and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. We don't want them fighting each other all practice, but the guys are getting heated and competing. I think that's a good thing."

- The Jaguars got back into pads Tuesday, and worked on some third-down, two-minute and backed-up situations. This is starting to feel like the dog days of training camp, with the energy a bit drained and in one instance tempers flaring into fisticuffs before the two players were quickly restrained. In general, it felt like the defense had the upper hand Tuesday, leading Head Coach Liam Coen to add an additional unscripted period at the end of practice in which the offense moved the ball and scored a touchdown to finish on a positive note. Washington had another fantastic day with multiple acrobatic catches in one-on-one and in a team drill. The team is off Wednesday, but gets back on the field Thursday with a scrimmage ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome.

- The intensity at practice was high Tuesday between players and even coaches upped their energy. After a Monday that focused more on mental, the focus Tuesday was clearly on physicality and blocking. We saw our first fistfight of training camp as running back Allen and Combs threw punches during one of the team periods. Campanile said while he doesn't want to see fights constantly, he does like to see players playing hard and competing. Defensive tackle Arik Armstead was seen working off to the side at practice as he works his way back from a back injury. Tuesday was the second consecutive practice in which we haven't seen cornerback Tyson Campbell as he is considered day-to-day.
